The Formax ReadyWire Premium Electric Punching and Binding Machine brings the speed and convenience of electric punching to wire binding in a heavy-duty, compact system. It is available in two models: the ReadyWire2E with a 2:1 pitch and the ReadyWire3E with a 3:1 pitch. Both models punch up to 16,000 sheets per hour with a simple electric foot pedal and bind up to 250 booklets per hour. The 2:1 pitch model accommodates wire diameters from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inches for booklets up to 340 sheets, while the 3:1 pitch model uses wire diameters from 1/4 inch to 5/8 inch for booklets up to 135 sheets with a more refined look.

The precision vertical punching system uses gravity to keep every sheet in place for consistent hole placement, even on larger document sets. Setup is quick and requires no tools, and the specially hardened punch pins are easy to access and can be disengaged individually to prevent partially punched holes. A depth gauge, variable margin depth, parallel adjustment, and closure control adjustment help produce an accurate, secure bind, while the integrated wire comb holding device supports an ergonomic workflow from punching to binding. Wire-bound documents open a full 360 degrees and lay flat for easier reading, writing, scanning, and presentations, and double-loop wire binding keeps pages secure through years of use.
